The sum of £3790.79p was raised from the Harvest to Christmas appeal. This is a wonderful sum of money and thanks to everyone who contributed in any way to this appeal. It means that a small village church and school in Senhati, near Khulna can be refurbished so that the roof does not leak, there is electric light for the school children and they will be able to have books and jotters for their studies. The total also includes £100 given by the youngsters of Fairlogie Café.
The Offering amounting to £285 from the Christmas Watchnight Service was sent to Carnoustie Helpline. The acknowledgment from the Treasurer of Helpline said “Your continued personal support and that of your congregation is very much appreciated and will greatly assist us in continuing to provide our Medical Transport Service to the residents of Carnoustie and surrounding area, the demand for which is ever increasing.”
There is a basket at the front door of the church for used postage stamps. These are collected and sent to the World Mission Council where they are sorted and sold to raise cash for World Mission Projects across the world.
