Earth Hour 2015. 28th March 8.30-9.30pm
On this date all across the world, individuals and families will turn out the lights in their homes and light candles and think about this wonderful world in which we live. Public buildings across the world will also have their floodlights extinguished – from the Houses of Parliament to Sydney Harbour Bridge, The White House to the Great Wall of China.
On this date, and at this time, we will be holding a simple “Candlelight Supper” in the Panbride Hall. At 8.30pm the lights will be switched off, and over a simple supper of biscuits/cheese/crisps (and a glass of something) we will think about the natural world and see pictures from around the world of some of the beauty (and devastation) of nature and the responsibility we have for stewardship of the resources of the world for future generations.
Please come along and be part of a growing international event. 8.30pm on Saturday 28th March 2015. MSB
