Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration

April 20th, 2016 by Church Admin Leave a reply »

As mentioned in the February Newsletter, plans are in hand to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. Although the actual date is 21st April the Lord Lieutenant of Angus has invited congregations and other groups to hold some event on 12th June (the weekend of the main celebrations in London).

What has been planned is that there will be the morning service as usual at 11.00am in Panbride Country Church. Following this, you are invited to bring a picnic lunch to the Manse Garden at 12.30pm. There will be a Marquee (kindly loaned by the Gala Committee) but if you want to bring a gazebo of your own, please do (It might depend on the weather!). Chairs are available, but again you may wish to bring your own. Tea, coffee and juice will be available. In the event of non-picnic weather, we will use the halls.

After lunch, from 2-3pm there will be activities such as games which will be suitable for both adults and youngsters and we are planning to end the afternoon with a sing-song. We look forward to seeing you at the Garden Party of the year! Sunday 12th June 2016.
