On March 8 Helen Wallace and friends entertained with story and song telling of the Suffragette Movement. At the open meeting on March 22 a lovely large turnout of members and guests from local churches and fellowships welcomed the Muirdrum WRI entertainment. They took us on a highly colourful tour of Scotland through song and verse. This was followed by afternoon tea served by the committee. Thank you to everyone who came along.
At the last meeting of this session the topic was ‘The First Lady Doctor’ a talk by Rea and Tom Beattie, followed by the AGM.
At the time of writing this article we were looking forward to our outing and by the time you are reading this we will have had it. This year’s destination is Scone, the Aviator Restaurant and Antique Centre on April 19 when I hope the weather will be kind to us.
This will bring our meetings to a close until October when we hope to see all the familiar faces along with some new ones.
Thank you to everyone who has come along over the past months.
Happy Summertime. LA.
