From Erskine Hospital.
On behalf of everyone here at Erskine I would like to thank you so much for your kind donation of £255.00 from the retiral collection at Carnoustie Panbride Church. Your help means so much to our brave veterans. You have helped bring smiles to our residents’ faces at this special time of year.
For Erskine’s veterans, knowing that you are thinking of them is such a wonderful feeling and it’s heart-warming to know that you appreciate their service to their country. It’s thanks to you that our brave veterans will experience the special sense of joy and friendship that fills Erskine’s homes in the lead up to Christmas.
In November our veterans attended remembrance services to pay tribute to fallen friends. It was an important time of year to honour those who are not with us in the company of comrades and friends who remembered with us. With the centenary of World War One this year, and Erskine celebrating its one hundredth anniversary in 2016, not only is every donation appreciated, but is also very poignant.
Your gift will be used wisely on services such as physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, recreation and of course, special Christmas treats. While we will never be able to repay you for your generosity I can assure you that the difference it makes to so many here at Erskine is truly exceptional. Thank you for caring.
Yours sincerely, Michael Parkes
