In recent years Princes Street Gardens has been crowded with people of all ages enjoying Assembly Sunday in the gardens where the Church of Scotland can be seen in a variety of events. This year Sunday 18th May is the date. The gates open at 1.00pm with the events from 2-5pm finishing with worship at the Ross Bandstand.
This year the theme is “Hands across the world” which aims to celebrate the life of the Church through the lens of its international heritage, relationships and partners. There are over 50 participating groups including Fischy Music, Spill the Beans children’s ministry, a dedicated youth marquee, an immersive prayer experience, photographic exhibition, the Heart and Soul Swing Band, communal singing with a Kenyan singing group, over 30 exhibitors and up to 20 local Church of Scotland congregations.
There will be several catering venues in the gardens and it is a flexible day. Come when you can, leave when you like. Entry is free and all visitors will receive a complimentary event guide with map, timetable and listing all the events and exhibitors.
