The questions in this issue have been answered by Beryl Parris.

1.       What  is your favourite hymn?

It has to be “Oh God Of Bethel” which I learned as a child both at school and Sunday school.    The words are very inspirational particularly verse 4 “Oh Spread Thy covering wings around    till all our wanderings cease and at our Father’s loved abode our souls arrive in peace.”

2. Away from Carnoustie where have you enjoyed worshipping ?

At Randusari Catherdral, Semerang, Indonesia. It was Christmas Eve and we were invited to the service. The choir sang Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus specially for us and everyone in our party joined in spontaneously. It made the hair on the back of my neck rise.

3. Who is your favourite biblical character?

Mary Magdalene who was faithful and attended Jesus at the grave, was the witness of his resurrection and did not abandon him at the crucifixion when the disciples had scattered.

4. What is your favourite Bible reading?

Corinthians 1 Chapter 13 Verses 1-13—Faith, Hope and Charity remain but the greatest of these is Charity.

5. Which figure, living or dead do you most admire?

Helen Keller. She surmounted great difficulties, was the first deaf, blind person to earn a Batchelor of Arts degree, was a world famous speaker, author and author and an advocate for people.
