DID YOU KNOW?
The following letter has been received. “Thank you! I write on behalf of Erskine’s veterans and their families to thank everyone at the Carnoustie Panbride Church of Scotland for the very generous donation of £246.31 raised through your recent retiring collection. It is so good to know that we can count on your support to continue our much-needed work.
Donations from our supporters play a vital role in enabling Erskine to make life better for the brave men and women for whom we have the privilege of caring. They pay for everything from large items like specialised medical equipment to smaller things like coloured door handles to help veterans with dementia find their way around the Home. Gifts from people like you also allow us to provide services like physio and the daily recreation programme – services which make a major difference to the quality of our veterans’ lives.
It is almost a hundred years since Erskine was founded to care for the men returning from the Great War and still today Scotland’s veterans turn to Erskine when they need help. It is your generosity that allows us to be there for them. Thank you very much for your support. Yours sincerely, Alan McGarvey, Fundraising Team”
Over a long number of years the Cradle Roll has been updated by Bill Cunningham and there is now a complete list of names of babies who have been baptised in Carnoustie Panbride Church since 1989. Bill has decided that he wishes to retire and we thank him for all the work he has done with the Cradle Roll. He has kindly given us the template for the list of names which has been transferred to the office computer and so the Cradle Roll will continue to be updated in the same format. Thank you, Bill – your talent has been much appreciated.
