The questions in this issue have been answered by David Ross who is a member of the choir.
1. What is your favourite hymn?
So many to choose from! Being in the choir I like a rousing tune that gets all the congregation going. So I suppose it must be Battle Hymn of the Republic (“Mine eyes have seen the glory)”.
2. Away from Carnoustie where have you enjoyed worshipping ?
Growing up in Kilsyth I went to Kilsyth Old Parish Church—happy memories.
3. Who is your favourite biblical character?
Paul for many reasons. His complete change from Christian hater to a deep Christian faith is an inspiration to us all. I have also visited many of the Mediterranean places he went to so I can better relate to him.
4. What is your favourite Bible reading?
Has to be First Corinthians Chapter 13—a good passage about Love that ends, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” – wonderful words.
5. Which figure, living or dead do you most admire?
Again, so many to choose from. Being a scientist, I have to go with Leonardo da Vinci – one of the greatest minds in human history on so many areas of Science and even found time to paint the Mona Lisa.
