The questions in this issue have been answered by Dorothy Booth one of our elders who has recently taken over as Presbytery Elder.
1. What is your favourite hymn?
Very difficult to choose one as there are several I enjoy singing, but have decided on
‘Christ be our light’ Hymn 543 which I first heard at the General Assembly in 2003.
2. Away from Carnoustie where have you enjoyed worshipping ?
Heriot Kirk in the Scottish Borders. One of my sons was married there and my two
grand-daughters had services of Blessing there.
3. Who is your favourite biblical character?
Noah, who had the faith to do as God asked. It’s a good story as well.
4. What is your favourite Bible reading?
Psalm 121. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. In the
beauty of hills and mountains it is easy to appreciate that God is all around.
5. Which figure, living or dead do you most admire?
I admire anyone who strives to overcome adversity. I am grateful to Maggie Keswick
Jencks, who, although she did not live to see her vision fulfilled, started the process
with the help of family and friends that created the Maggie Centres.
