While Christmas may now seem a distant memory, this is the first opportunity of the Social Committee to thank all who donated mince pies and shortbread for the tea held in the Panbride Hall after the Christingle Service. Your support is very much appreciated.
The Ceilidh held in the Station Hotel in January was an extremely enjoyable event. Music for dancing was provided by the Colliston Sound who kept everyone’s feet tapping. Other entertainment was provided by Alistair Neil who played some stirring tunes on bagpipes, Allison Beattie who beautifully demonstrated the art of highland dancing and Allan Gibson who sang some popular Scots songs. Allan encouraged the audience to sing along with him in the second half of his programme which everyone did with gusto and which was very much enjoyed by all. Whilst the overall numbers attending was disappointing, those who were there enjoyed a great evening of entertainment whilst being suitably sustained by a generous helping of the Station Hotel’s very own and much loved stovies.
