Worship

All are welcome

Worship is held every Sunday at 11 a.m in Newton Church on Arbroath Road where worship is followed by a time of fellowship over tea and coffee in Panbride Hall.

The service usually lasts for around an hour and includes hymns and prayers as well a reflection or sermon.

A member of the congregation reads the Scripture passage each Sunday and our Worship Team is regularly involved in Sunday worship and takes the full service on various Sundays throughout the year.

There are special services at Easter, Harvest when, on a number of occasions, the service was held in a barn on a local farm and Christmas services which includes a “Service of Quiet Reflection” during Advent for those who have been bereaved.

The recent installation of Wi-Fi in Newton Church now enables us to broadcast our service live on a Sunday morning on the church’s Facebook page. It is also recorded and can be viewed later on our YouTube page.

The links to You Tube and Facebook can be found in the header and footer of this website.

Children from the F.O.G. Squad (Friends of God) join us for the first part of the service before going to their own activities in the halls.

Our youth group J.A.F.F.A (Jesus and Fun for All) meet regularly throughout the year.

On the last Sunday of each month at Newton Church, we have our Soup and Sweet lunch.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated in February, May, August, and November.
